Jaeger-LeCoultre Holds A Special Online Auction on February 16, 2009.
To commemorate its "Tides of Time" partnership with the UNESCO World Heritage Center and the International Herald Tribune, Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre holds a special online auction on February 16, 2009. It is part of a comprehensive effort byJaeger-LeCoultre and the two organizations to protect the world's most notable and sensitive marine environments, in addition to providing ongoing public education about the importance of these ecosystems.
The sale will feature "Prototype No. 1" of the Master Compressor Extreme W-Alarm Tides of Time watch, a model with an alarm function and a world time complication released by Jaeger-LeCoultre at the SIHH 2009 exhibition in Geneva. The titanium and stainless steel prototype watch to be auctioned substitutes three of the cities on the dial ring with the natural sites of Scandola, Galapagos and Tubbataha--areas set to benefit from a World Heritage preservation program backed by Jaeger-LeCoultre. Proceeds obtained from the Jaeger-LeCoultre "Tides of Time" auction on February 16 will be applied to support a World Heritage project specified by UNESCO. Additional information on the auction will be presented by Jaeger-LeCoultre later in the week.
